About
-
This project focuses on creating a safe place for young Black girls, particularly in the 4th and 5th grades, to grow comfortable with discussions on mental health and well-being.
-
While there is a myriad of topics included in these rich areas of discussion, some of our focuses include puberty, hygiene, colorism, body image, consent, and hair care.
-
In addition to the discussions, we implement arts and crafts, listen to pro-Black music, and ask the girls topics they would like to learn more about to help them grow into confident individuals.
